My name is Courtney (aka Shrewsie) and I love to create! I first learned to crochet in the early 2000’s from my mother. But with no inspiration and a busy college life, I didn’t really do much after I learned my first stitch.
At the end of 2020, like many people, the call of the yarn was tugging at me and I had to respond. The internet was full of how-to resources, in addition to suddenly having a bit more free time than I used to and within weeks I was just swimming happily in projects.
At one point, my ability to create exceeded the capacity of my home storage or my own needs – one only needs to own so many hats, scarves, etc. I like to think I am practical and prefer not to make things just to have them sit around and not get used. At that point, the focus of a lot of my projects turned from random winter attire to unique and sustainable items that bring joy.
My goal as a person who is monetizing their hobby is to share my artwork with others, create and design things that people really want to use, and generate just a little extra income to provide the extras for my blended family 💙
